News report
He was dreaming about drowning in the  cold water he couldn’t  move a thing he couldn’t breathe he tried to get out but he couldn't. Some  nice people came to help me but I was stuck and I didn't think that I was going to get out. I sat down on my  bouncy bed crying and then I new that it was just from my dream. I was trying to get out of bed but I couldn't my legs  was stuck to the bed it was just me dreaming . I yelled to my mum
She Got me out of bed.

World Events for your writing
I’m sure you won’t have missed the events in Barcelona, Spain this week or the devastation caused by the mud slide in Sierre Leone and the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia. The prompt this week uses the emotions that the media has shown us.

The mudslide
There was a mudslide it was as big as a ship. Then over night there was  200 people that were killed in the night. I heard people yelling  I run  outside there were people , trying to get out of the mud.Then there were people asking for my help.
“Can you help me?”. I said
“ There yelling”they  asked for my for help. Wait I’m coming I said
“Sorry but I can't help you”. I will get stuck in the yucky drowning sticky  mud.I am going to have to run away now so good bye people” I said I am sorry

The sea is a swirly storm.My laughter is unexpectedly contagious.My heart is thunder.the moss is like gold.The seal's nose is brown bark ,the pieces of seaweed are carrots.My whiskers are wire,my teeth are rocks.My nails are sharp knifes, my feet are 1 meter rulers.My stomach is an elephant,my fingers are sausages.The rocks are grey tiles,the leaves are carvings.The rocks are a crunchy bar my tongue is a red skin.The spots on my face are strawberries,the seaweed is a snail.My mouth is moving “Chop,chop,chop”.

Baby Bear’s   present.
Mother Bear and Father Bear  is get Baby Bear a present.


The three Baby looked in the shop window.
I like  cars said Baby Bear’s
Can I have the cars please
We will look at the toy said Mother Bear
I like the toy train said father Bear.
I can see a  key it makes the train go.
Baby Bear said No! No!
I like this cars kos I can ride a rad in it.
Can I please have this cars.
Father bear said I like this toy train a lot.
Mother bear said No this toy is not for you
No this toy isti  for me it is for baby bear
And he likes the blue car. If baby bear likes it we will get it for he look at me in the car. Mother Bear and Father Bear

Looked at Baby Bears.car  said Baby Bears I like my car it a good car.

Not far off the Somali coast one of the big Vestel cargo vessels is taken over by pirates! Within a split of a second the ship has a new captain, the soup is gone as well as the cargo itself. Will our Vestrons be able to strike back?

Before you start writing think about the setting and imagine you are there.
Somali pirates take over a huge cargo freighter at sea. Things don’t look good for the crew, until the pirates start to investigate the cargo—Vestrons! Engage!


Create  
WALT write a narrative through the eyes of one of the crew, or robots.

  • Describe the setting in detail.Think about words to describe the situation, what you see, smell, taste, hear. Try to use words that create the mood.
  • Now…..Write a first person narrative through the eyes of one of the crew or one of the robots. How you are feeling when the boat is invaded by pirates.

I was the captain then I started to see pirates climb up the ship. Then the pirates started to go down the stairs to the kitchen. Then the pirates tried the amazing soup. The chef started crying after the pirates drank all the amazing soup. I went down stairs again to the machinery. The pirates turned the machines off. The people from the machine told the captain. The the pirates said to the captain give me the keys said the pirates on the ship. Then the pirates started walking over to the red box then the robot came out of it’s big red box then the pirates got pushed away from the robot. Then the robot started to help them. The robot started to trip the pirates up. Then the robot tapped on the pirate shoulder. Then the robots said to look at the window and all of the pirates were hurt. The robot give back the keys from the pirate. The captain drank a cup of coffee and drived the ship again.
